There are also non seaview rooms at this hotel, but as it is so close to the ocean, we feel that the seaview ones will be most highly sought after.

Comments

You really can't get closer to the water than this, unless you are in a boat! A small hotel with compact grounds, with its own band of followers. There are mixed reports on the bedrooms here, some like them, we found that the beds can be a bit hard and that we didn't like people walking past our terrace en route to the dining room. You can sunbathe by the swimming pool, which is more decorative than for keen swimmers. The small private beach is very close, with chaise longues and a beach bar. Service can be a bit slow, but has speeded up with the influx of more tourists, and facilities not always in working order. There have been reports of lack of hot water. Many enjoy the pub in the basement which gets going at 11pm. The restaurant Farolin over the water has been extended to cover a charming area of tables and chairs above the sea and the service has improved a lot. We like the food here although it is a bit pricey - our clients reckon it's worth it.

We really liked this hotel. Nice rooms, good restaurant. H from Lake District

The hotel was clean and well located. Service was slow. There were water pump issues and consequently no water for part of some days. My particular side of the hotel had only tepid water for the first part of the week. It was the sort of thing I had expected and did not bother to complain. However if I had brought my family it would have been an issue. I would have no problems staying there again. It is in a super location and the views are exceptional for those lazy lunches and sundowners in the restaurant and terrace. B from Cork.
