Cape Verde Island hopping

Get a chance to know the real Cape Verde. Each island has its own identity. Go island hopping the simplest way. Only for the adventurous, who enjoy flying in small planes and don't mind schedule changes. Flights between islands can be delayed, cancelled or even brought forward. Fly to the more remote islands of Boavista, Fogo, Sao Vicente, Santiago and Santa Antao, Sao Nicolao, using services of Cape Verde Island specialists, with local assistance in each island. Recommended even for the most travelled. If you are not sure which islands you'd like, see here

We had a thoroughly enjoyable holiday and I'm very grateful to you for fixing up our first week so well. It all did go like clockwork and we both loved Mindelo as I thought we would - we were there for the Carnival, and Santa Antao. The Barracuda Reps were terrific, especially the ones on Sao Vicente. Couldn't have been nicer. Good hotels too. N from London

Our stay on Santa Antao was fantastic, what an amazing island, the scenery and landscapes are studnning. The walks thorugh the mountains are definitely the only way to see the true beauty of the island and the best way to meet some of the most genuine, friendly and helpful local people that you could wish to meet. J from Manchester

Everything went well, all flights and transfers on time. The reps and drivers were very reliable and accommodating. I took hundreds of pictures and am now sorting through them all. We did manage to spend a fantastic day on Santo Antao - very like rural Cuba without the rain. Sao Vicente was my favourite island. Fascinating mixture of people and incredible landscapes. The Nautical Bar in Mindelo is a must as is Nella's restaurant. The former prison camp in Tarrafal Santiago is wonderfully weird, but the beach and hotel need a good tidy up if they want to attract European custom. Didn't get to meet Cesaria Evora as she had left the day before for Paris. The isolation and undiscovered raw beauty, and lack of conventional tourism creates an edginess that has remained with me since I returned home. I can't wait to go back - I just need to find a publisher. Thank you H from Essex

We had a good time, the organisation was brilliant, the way they picked us up at the airport, it was excellent. We jumped the queues. We went straight down to the front, it went really well. We'll be going back. Had a great time, thanks for all your help. M from Kent.

Just a quick note to thank you so much for arranging our trip to Cape Verde .. Everything ran so smoothly even all the flights were on time and hotels were all fine. Thanks again Claire for all your help and would not hesitate to recommend you to anyone in the future. D from Essex

Whilst most island hopping may go to plan, if the flights get delayed or changed you may have a long wait in the airport, or your current island. Or you could be re-routed via another island. Be prepared to go with the flow, and if it all runs smoothly you will be pleased. If you don't like the sound of this adventure, then how about flying to just one island? Island hopping tours suit those that enjoy travelling in small planes and variety. We really enjoy visiting some of the more far-flung islands, meeting the people and enjoying the diversity. It's not like travelling round Greece or the Canaries, and it's generally much more expensive than travelling to just one island.

Please note: Multi island holidays should be booked AT LEAST 4 weeks before departure date.
